Homepage Redesign —
Option B (Stan’s Vision)
Overview
Option B reimagines the homepage to maximize above-the-fold value.
This design front-loads the most important conversion flows and content
into the first screen: rates, quotes, calls, live events, and direct
contact with Stan.
Changes
MYGA Rates Strip
The top banner has been replaced with a compact rates strip showing
current MYGA fixed-rate annuity yields across five terms (3-Year through
10-Year) with a “Live Rates” link.
Simplified Navigation
The navigation has been streamlined to three core flows: -
Calculators — dropdown with all six calculator types -
TAM University — renamed from “Get Smarter”, with
guided content and topic categories - Espanol — direct
link to the Spanish-language page - Book a Call —
remains as the primary CTA button
The “Annuities” and “About” dropdowns have been removed from the top
nav (links remain in the footer). The “Buy Now” button has been removed
to reduce decision fatigue.
Hero Section
- Two CTA buttons: “Get a Quote” and “Book A
Call”
- Trust badge — “Over $1 Billion of Client Money 100%
Principal Protected” displayed as a compact inline badge below the hero
text
- YouTube Player — compact “always on” player showing
the latest replay, with a “Sign Up for the Next Live Event” link below.
Clicking the player opens a popup overlay with the video player on the
left and YouTube’s built-in live chat on the right, allowing viewers to
ask questions directly during live events. When Stan is broadcasting,
this switches to a live stream state. In replay mode, the chat panel
shows the recorded chat from the live session
- Two action cards: “Get a Quote” (links to
calculators) and “TAM University” (links to education
content). The “Disponible en Espanol” card was removed since Spanish is
now accessible from the nav.
Like/Dislike
YouTube’s embedded player does not include like/dislike buttons —
those only appear on the youtube.com watch page. Two options to
consider:
- YouTube Data API — build custom like/dislike
buttons that use the YouTube API to register likes on the actual video.
This requires users to authenticate with their Google account.
- Link out to YouTube — add a “Like this on YouTube”
link that opens the video on youtube.com where users can like it
natively. Simple, no authentication needed.
A new full-width bar below the hero brings together: - Phone number
(800 509 6473) - Business hours (moved from the navigation area) -
“Email Stan” button — gold pill style matching the nav
button
This ensures the direct-contact option is visible above the fold.
